How to Accomplish Your Goals

Would you like to learn how to achieve your goals? There’s a very simple technique that all high achievers use to accomplish their goals. If you’d like to find out what it is, watch the short video below, or read the transcript below.

In today’s episode, we’re going to talk about how you can accomplish your goals by simply changing the way you think about them.

Let’s do this.

If you’re like most people watching this video, you have a set of goals that you’ve established for yourself.

The goals might be financial – I want a raise.

Or, your goals might be career-oriented – I’d like a promotion.

They might even be about your management style – I’d like to be a better team leader.

The problem is you struggle to make those goals a reality.

Oh, your goals are on your To Do list. You might even have them written out in a journal or on a white board.

That’s awesome.

But you’re missing one specific thing.

And that is … any goal that you’ve set your sights on can’t just be a goal. It needs to be a goal that’s tied to a dream.

In other words, you need to connect the dots between what you’re doing today and what your ultimate dream is for tomorrow.

So, if your goal is to get a raise, that’s great … but it has to be tied to the dream of buying that house you’ve always wanted.

If your goal is to get a promotion, that’s wonderful … but it has to be tied to your dream of owning your own business.

If your goal is to be a better team leader, terrific … but it has to be tied to your dream of someday being the CEO.

Here’s a key thing to remember. Goals that aren’t attached to dreams are just To Do lists. And To Do lists don’t always get done.

But goals that are tied to dreams will help you plow through the difficult challenges you’ll face as struggle to accomplish them.

Also, a quick shout-out to Paul Morales who left a comment on my last video bringing the subject of connecting goals to dreams to my attention. Thanks, Paul.
